Cold Water Storage Tank Refurbishment
If there are Galvanised Cold Water Storage Tanks which are corroded but still structurally sound it may be possible to refurbish them instead of replacing them. This often works out to be considerably cheaper than replacement. The refurbishment process involves removing the loose rust and getting back to bare metal and then painting the inside of the tank with a two part polyeuthane paint which sets solid and provides a swimming pool look to the tank. In effect you have a new tank, inside. This procedure, if done correctly, should last approximately 10 years.
